Disney World - Day 6 - Animal Kingdom

On Day 6, we visited Animal Kingdom. This coincidentally happened to be Disney World's 50th Anniversary!  Top Rides:  Slinky Dog Dash: 4.33/5 Rise of the Resistance: 5/5 Expedition Everest: 4.5/5 Flight of Passage: 4/5  Restaurants:  Yak & Yeti: 4.5/5 (my personal favorite from the trip!) California Grill: 4/5 (located at the top of the Contemporary Resort) Shows:  A Celebration of Festival of the Lion King: 3/5 (Girls loved it, boys hated it) Kite-Tails: 2.25/5 Feathered Friends in Flight!: 3.75/5 (Kids loved it, adults thought it was ok) We got to get into the park 30 minutes early, and there was hardly anyone there.  The first thing we did was take the safari. Reese loved it so much that we came back later and rode it again.  Next, we rode Flight of Passage. Will loved this ride! He rode it again with Matthew later in the day. Reese did not care for it.  Reese was pretty tired of riding rides on this day, so we went and did a photoshoot whi...

Disney World - Day 5 - Hollywood Studios

On Day 5, we went to Hollywood Studios which happened to be my very favorite park! I loved the atmosphere, and they had some of the best rides and shows.  Top Rides:  Rock n' Roller Coaster 4.5/5 Toy Story Mania! 4.5/5 Tower of Terror 5/5 (Matthew and my personal favorite of the whole trip!) Rise of the Resistance 5/5 Restaurants:  Docking Bay 7: 2.25/5 (We weren't impressed) Sci-Fi: 4/5 (Super cool atmosphere, good food) Shows:  Frozen Sing-a-long: 5/5 (So funny!) I almost didn't ride this one because I was scared, but I'm so glad I did!  We waited the longest for Rise of the Resistance (about 1.5 hr). As we were buckling up, they said, "We're so sorry, but the ride is broken. You're going to have to leave." We were sad and frustrated, but they scanned our cards and said we could come back later and go to the front of the ride. Will got to ride it twice!  G-Daddy didn't get the "tough" memo. Will and Reese got droid shaped soda bottles. ...

Disney World - Day 4 - Rest Day

We planned to take a rest day in the middle of our trip so that we didn't burn out from all of the walking. According to our step-tracker, we were walking 5-6 miles each day. We slept in, then went to play mini-golf at Winter Summerland near Blizzard Beach. The resort had given us free tickets, so we thought we would check it out.  It is a Christmas themed golf course with a "Winter" side and a "Summer" side. We played the "Summer" side because it had a shorter wait time. We only waited about 15 minutes.  This was Reese's first time to play mini golf, and she picked it up right away! By the end, she was putting 3 or 4 strokes per hole. Will is naturally good at all sports. My dad had a rough start but sank at least 3 hole-in-ones! However, he lost in the end because his ball got caught under a toy train track.  Matthew and I tied. We are both so competitive that we couldn't stand it. We are going again for his birthday so we can determine the r...
