I'm finally getting to work on this chair and I cannot wait to show you the finished project, but this is what I found when I woke up this morning. Yes, my dog has decided to start chewing on the nasty old seat. She never chews up anything! I hope she doesn't get sick. 

I'm looking for lamps for my living room. Aren't these cute? I saw them at Pier 1.  This lamp has a strip of fabric from my curtains on it. Don't you think it would look fabulous in my living room? 

Another friend of mine just had a baby and asked me to make her a special pair of sandals to wear home from the hospital. I made these orchid sandals with double snaps so that her little girl can wear them all the way through the summer. Why is white so hard to photograph?  You can purchase a pair of these sandals for $24.99. Just leave a comment on this post with your contact information. Her pictures are much better than mine, so that is why I included them here. Again, I did not make the sandals below, but I can make these sandals in any color that you choose. 

A good friend of mine is having a baby girl in April, so I made some custom burp cloths for her precious child. I used three different prints of vintage material and cut up a brand new white towel that I purchased from Target. For each print, I made a burp cloth that was plain and one that was a little more special. I did one with a double row of tiny ruffles, I hand embroidered her child's name on the yellow check material and I monogrammed the last one.  I would love to make a set of six for you or a friend. A friend of mine is getting married and asked me to make her a set of garters: one to wear and keep and one to toss at the reception. I know I haven't been really keeping up with my blog lately, but I've been really busy with lots of projects. I promise. Over the next few days, I want to share with you some things that I have been working on, so check back daily!  For starters, here is a sneak peek at the curtains and pillow that I made for my living room. I am in the process of redecorating my living/dining room. I've had it decorated in reds, purples and golds. I got tired of that and am now transitioning to a more cheerful set of blues and greens. 

Over spring break, we took a trip with some families from our church to Winter Park, Colorado for a week of skiing. We had a blast! We roomed with Jimmy and Tina Crouch who were such a blessing to us last week. Jayma Davis and Le Ann Finch volunteered to watch Will for us since they weren't skiing. They made our week so much better! We feel so grateful to them and everything they did for us. Here are a ton of images from our week.  15 Hour Bus Ride Will was amazing! He did not have one meltdown.  Me and Tina Crouch Matthew is skiing so fast that the camera couldn't catch him. :) Dylan fell on our first day of skiing and broke his clavicle. Poor Dilly. Jimmy and Tina I love this painting that was in a local dessert shop. We did a photo shoot with Will in the snow. This was his first time to ever see snow. He didn't really care for it. This is my favorite!!!! Love love love Kat...

Dear Will, You are ten months old. I can't believe that in just two short months you will be one. You are a joy in our lives and you make countless people smile each day. I was waiting in a very long line at a used clothes shopping event a few days ago and the woman in front of me, after standing in line for one hour, exclaimed "I just cannot believe how good your little boy is! I have three children and they would never have been this good." That is just one of many comments I hear weekly. You are such a laid back child. You love people and you were just content to sit in the stroller and people watch for a whole hour.  You love this giraffe and it is one of your favorite toys. Someone gave me this giraffe as a gift at one of my baby showers and I was very thankful, but I didn't see what was so special about it. I had heard that many babies loved this toy, but I just didn't get it. I'm so glad she gave me one because you think it is the best!...
