Family Photo Shoot

Christmas 2012

This year we celebrated Christmas with my side of the family. They were kind enough to come to us this year and after we opened presents on Christmas morning we headed over to my aunt and uncle's house for lunch. About a week and a half later we celebrated Christmas at our house but with Matthew's family this time. Christmas morning Will really enjoyed opening gifts this year.  We are pregnant and are expecting our second child in July. We had kept it a secret and were going to share it with my family on Christmas day. Matthew took our family picture and then said we needed to take another one. The second time he said, "Everyone say Lauren's pregnant!" I thought we would get a picture of everyone with shocked expressions on their faces but they just all responded with "We know." Completed Christmas Projects

I didn't get around to finishing every project I wanted to before Christmas, but I thought I would share with you the projects I did complete. Some of the pictures below are just photos of how I decorated for Christmas this year. I shared earlier that I changed my Christmas color scheme this year from jewel tones to blues and silvers to go with my new living room decor. My aunt Rozmary gave me these dishes when I first got married.  I usually hang my Christmas cards on the fridge but my little helper, Will, thought he would clean up and we found multiple cards and magnets in the trash one day. Therefore, I took a cue from his birthday party and hung the cards up on twine with clothes pins. I like it so much that I might just leave it up for a few months.  It is going to take some time to collect more blue and silver ornaments to make my tree look fuller, but I think it goes with my curtains really well.
