Reese's 3rd Birthday

We went to Abilene to celebrate Reese's 3rd birthday, Graham's 1st birthday and to be with all of our family on the 4th of July. Abilene had their big fireworks show on July 3rd, so Matthew finally got to be with us to watch fireworks before he took off to New Orleans with the youth group. We celebrated Reese's birthday on the 4th with hamburgers, homemade ice cream, swimming, and tons of presents. Her favorite presents were the swimming mermaid doll, Barbies, wedding dress up clothes, mermaid cup and all of the art supplies.  Will did a really good job helping and Reese did a good job sharing. On her actual birthday, Matthew was already gone, so I took the kids out to get frozen yogurt.  Get ready for photo overload....I could not pair it down. There are just too many pretty photos.  Favorite Book: Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Favorite Breakfast Food: Cheerios Favorite Fruit: Strawberr...

Africa 2016 Part 2 of 2

Lions, elephants, cheetahs, a leopard, the black rhino, zebras, the great migration of wildebeests, tons of gazelle, flamingos, giraffes, and ostrich.  Monkeys on the side of the road before we even left town.  Ngorongoro Crater: Created by a volcano, super cold & windy Entering the Serengeti ("The endless plain") I loved these acacia trees!  These beautiful birds were everywhere!  Can you find the cub? The coolest thing we got to see was a mama cheetah super close with her 4 cubs.  60+ hippos in this one pond. The lions were too close for my comfort. The rest of the amazing photos were shot by Grace Mahaffey.... The Great Migration FYI...bab...
